Help with the Uni-Search-ity
Uni-search-ITy is a database of Canadian post-secondary schools that offer IT programs.
It includes three search options:
The Quick Search (menu on the left side of your screen) allows the user to click on one of four options: Colleges, Career Colleges, Universities or University Colleges. The result is an alphabetical listing of all institutions that fall under that category. Scroll up and down to locate the institution you are looking for and click on the School Name to view the information specific to that institution. Click on your browser's "Back" button to return to the alphabetical list of institutions and again to return to the Main Page. You can also click on the "Main" button at the bottom of the page to return to the Uni-search-ITy main page or the "Home" button to return to DiscoverIT.org.
The Basic Search allows the user to enter an institution's name or a program name to conduct a search. Results are then displayed according to the user's request. Please ensure that you click the correct radio button, i.e. Program or School. Click on the Go Button to the right of the School radio button to retrieve the results. If you type in a portion of an institution's name or a program name, the system will retrieve all records that have those words in them. Scroll up and down and click on the record you are interested in viewing. Again, click on your browser's "Back" button to move back through the pages, or click on the "Main" button at the bottom of the page to return to the Uni-search-ITy main page or the "Home" button to return to DiscoverIT.org.
The Advanced Search function allows the user to narrow down his or her search by selecting specific criteria (that the results must meet in order to be displayed). The user can conduct advanced searches on either "school" or "program" and can refine the search by entering the following information or clicking on the applicable radio buttons:
